Family History

Over the years the two parishes have hosted baptisms, weddings and funerals and parish records are a popular place for people to research their family histories.

Family History

Most of our records are stored at the Surrey History Centre in Woking (https://www.surreyarchives.org.uk). You can find material relating to our churches by searching the catalogue for ‘South Croydon St Augustine’ or ‘Croydon St Peter’.

Graves at St. Peter's

For enquiries about graves at St Peter’s, please contact us on 020 8688 4715, or send an email to office@southcroydonbenefice.org.uk. St Augustine’s does not have a graveyard.

Replacement Certificates

If you need a replacement marriage certificate, please contact Croydon Register Office as we are no longer permitted to issue duplicates. For a replacement baptism certificate, please contact us on 020 8688 4715, or send an email to office@southcroydonbenefice.org.uk.

Commonwealth War Graves

There is one Commonwealth War Grave in St. Peter's Churchyard. The grave of Reginald Parris, an Air Mechanic in the Royal Flying Corps. He was stationed at Kenley Airdrome and His record at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission can be found here .
