A broad cross-section of the local community have been meeting here for Christian worship in the Anglican tradition for over 120 years. A popular community centre also shares our church building and you can find details of some of the activities that take place in the St Augustine's Community Centre on this website.
Like other Christians we believe that God has come to meet us through the words of the Bible and the sacramental symbols of the Bread and Wine. St Augustine's is a church for everyone regardless of race, colour, status, wealth, education or difference. Married, single, divorced or separated - there is a place for all within the love of God, and within our church family.
St Augustine's now works with St Peter's within the Benefice of South Croydon and we have a Benefice Ministry Team of four Clergy, a Reader and two Pastoral Auxiliaries.
