Welcome to St Augustine’s!
St Augustine’s is a member of Inclusive Church and prides itself on offering a warm welcome to all who cross its threshold, whether for a service, a community event or at a regular class in one of the Community Centre rooms.
The church was built in 1881, and was designed by the architect John Oldrid Scott. It is a Grade II* listed building and was reordered in 1987 to provide the much needed and well used community centre as well as a versatile worship space.
Recently, and with the help of grants from various trusts, the congregation and centre users have raised £150,000 to carry out necessary repairs to parts of the roof.
St Augustine’s is open most Saturday mornings between 10am and 12 noon and all are welcome to drop in to view the church, have a cup of coffee and a chat.
Details of St. Augustine's services can be found on the "A Church Near You' website
